• There are over 600 native varieties in Spain. But 80% of the country’s wine comes from just 12 of those. The major grapes are Tempranillo, Albariƒo, Garnacha, Palomino, Airen, Macabeo, Parellada and Xarel·lo.

• The rosé wines of Spain are far from the typical. They can be as elegant and rich as any red or white wine. Spanish Rosados were also the favorite of American author Ernest Hemingway.
